What is the Home Help Program?

The Michigan Home Help Program, administered by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), allows Medicaid recipients to remain safely in their own homes rather than moving into nursing facilities or adult foster homes.

Through this program, qualified individuals can receive personal care services such as:

  • Bathing
  • toileting
  • laundry
  • dressing
  • eating
  • meal preparation
  • grooming
  • homemaking
  • shopping
